The Longest Chance company actively participated in the ACI Europe meeting
The Longest Chance company actively participated in the ACI Europe meeting of the Facilitation and Passenger Experience group. The meeting took place in Cologne, Germany on April 14-15, 2016.
This regular event is held by ACI Europe to get airports’ representatives together and exchange ideas on many significant subjects in airport’s everyday operations including passenger experience, security, other topics. Passenger experience is one of the most important subjects today, starting even outside airport facilities, during online check-in at home, and then including all the aspects of airport visit and departure.
Our company had a presentation in front of the airport experts explaining how airports can improve their passengers’ experience in terms of baggage handling. The main topic was to outline the future of baggage operations and explain how RFID technology can soon replace barcode solutions. Our RFID baggage tracking system helps airports trace what happens inside their facilities, like baggage handling system (BHS), and provide seamless service for airlines. A lot of communication during networking showed that the interest from airports’ side is solid and noticeable. In our approach, airports do not have to invest money because we deploy RFID infrastructure, which they can use for their clients among airlines, as well as for air passengers.
This RFID baggage tracking solution helps follow the entire bag journey – from check-in through baggage handling system to the final destination airport. This allows pinpointing at any moment the correct location of any bag in real-time, providing the list of bags loaded to airplane, and exchanging the baggage data between all participants, such as airlines, airports, and even handlers.
